I recently finished the jewelry box that Rick Campbell made for the Winter 2011 issue (“Treasured Chest,” page 26). The person I made it for wanted solid side doors rather than glass panels. I also used a single piece of cherry for the drawer fronts and the top. Since I liked the look of the continuous grain down the front, I didn’t add the beading detail on the bottom of each drawer front, which would have broken up the grain pattern. Thanks for another great project that I not only enjoyed building, but taught me new techniques and procedures as well.
